Crown Place is part of London’s Commercial Centre, in the east of the City. We’re spread over 16 floors, with the higher ones offering impressive views of the capital. Getting around is easy, thanks to the office’s proximity to Liverpool Street and Moorgate stations. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby, with Spitalfields Market a short walk away.

  • The best places to eat, drink and shop

    Our area is packed with fantastic restaurants, buzzing bars and pubs, and quirky eateries. It’s worth exploring and trying places that catch your eye. Here are a few favourites


    • Ozone Coffee on Old Street is not only a great spot for coffee, but also fantastic for breakfast. Located just a 10 minute walk from work and just two minutes from Old Street station, it serves a mean breakfast. Their speciality is eggs which you can have made whatever way you like with a whole range of additional extras – poached eggs with chorizo and chilli on sourdough is a particular office favourite
    • Our own Hub does a great range of breakfasts from very healthy porridge to a full-cooked


    • L’Anima is a nice Italian restaurant close to the office, which also does takeaway at lunch time
    • Broadgate Circle offers lots of great places for eating and drinking
    • Whitecross Street Food Market is located just five minutes from the office it has a wide selection of great food from all over the world. From Turkish wraps to burritos, hot dogs, pasta and so much more, this is definitely worth a trip out of the office on your lunch hour


    • Coffee is one thing definitely not in short supply near the office. There’s a Starbucks and Costa on every main route to the office, but for something a little more off the high street, Ozone Coffee, located 10 minutes away from the office near Old Street serves fantastic Fair Trade coffee, or you could try Notes Coffee shop near Moorgate, Wild and Wood coffee on London Wall, or Cream which is a bit further afield but does great coffee
    • Polo Bar and Café, Liverpool Street – not just great for coffee, but also their homemade pastries
    • Beany located at Broadgate Circle is also a great place to grab a coffee before the start of a busy day


    • Polo Bar Café, located in front of Liverpool Street Station is a 24 hour café that serves fantastic British favourites. From an all-day breakfast and burgers to an office favourite, the fish finger sandwich, this no frills place offers great food at a great price
    • If you don’t mind the queue the Breakfast Club is definitely worth a visit. Located just 5mins from the office this place offers American style burritos, pancakes and other indulgent treats. They also have a secret cocktail bar located behind the fridge door. ‘Just ask to speak to the Mayor’
    • The Modern Pantry on Finsbury Square is a bit pricier but worth it for the great quality food
    • The Folly near Monument station, only 15 minutes from the office, serves great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Part restaurant, part bar, the open plan garden themed décor makes for a lovely laid back feel. The food is fantastic and once you’re done eating you can head downstairs to the more upbeat bar area

    Going Out

    • There’s a few decent pubs around including the Singer Tavern, The Flying Horse, The Water Poet and Shuttle. Exchange Square is a regular place for drinks after work, particularly in the summer months
    • Be at One, close to Spitalfields Market, has a great atmosphere and the fantastic staff ensure the place is always buzzing. Happy hours runs each day from 4-7pm and there’s more cocktails on their menu than you could possibly drink in a lifetime. Spitalfields Market generally is a great area for eating out and post-work drinks
    • Revolution, located just behind the Heron Tower, and 10 minutes walk from the office, is a bustling bar that also extends to a club space downstairs. Popular haunt of anyone working in the vicinity, this bar has a great atmosphere and great music, if you don’t mind the occasional longish wait at the bar
    • Queen of Hoxton is a favourite after work drinks spot for our Trainees. In the summer you can relax in the rooftop garden and in the winter the bar transforms into a cosy setting with wigwams and bonfires


    • Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market, both just a short stroll from the office, offer a wide variety of shops, everything from high street chains to vintage warehouses
    • There’s all the high street favourites dotted in and around the Liverpool Street area from Marks & Spencer, Hobbs, All Saints, Accessorize and Jaeger to a Tesco local located 5mins from the office, perfect for picking up the essentials on your way home from work
    • Slightly further away you have Oxford Street or Westfield Stratford which are approximately a 10 minute tube ride away

  • Sport & Fitness

    As well as the regular classes held in the office, you’ll find plenty of teams you can join. And there are lots of gyms nearby too.

    • Whatever your sport, you’ll probably find a team playing it. That includes football, tennis, rugby, golf, cricket, netball and softball. Joining a team is a great way to meet people, both within and outside the firm
    • There are also many gyms and health clubs within walking distance of the office and a 5-a-side football centre in Shoreditch, a one minute walk away
    • There are also lots of sporting events that you can take part in, including the London Legal Walk, rowing competitions between different firms, sailing events supporting local schools and even swimming competitions

  • Local attractions, culture and the arts

    Our location means we’re near to some of London’s newest landmarks like the Gherkin and Heron Tower. We’re also just a stone’s throw away from the city’s older attractions like the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

    • Nearby it’s worth checking out Exchange Square, which hosts a big screen in the summer and skating rink in the winter
    • There’s also the Barbican Centre close to the office which boasts a cinema, art gallery, theatre and concert hall
    • To get a flavour of the history of the area, stroll over to Bunhill Cemetery where William Blake is buried, book a visit to Dennis Severs’ House in Folgate Street, or tuck in to a curry on Brick Lane. There’s also a cinema and bowling nearby, as well as art at Whitechapel Gallery and White Cube
