Paralegal Application Process

  • Entry Requirements

    We look for the following academic criteria:

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent, minimum 2.1
    • LPC/DPLP qualification preferred, minimum Commendation

    If you do not meet the above academic requirements then we are unable to consider your application, unless there are mitigating circumstances that negatively impacted upon your results and you are able to explain why you have failed to meet the minimum academic requirements. In these circumstances, please include this information in your application.

    March and September intakes

    Application is by CV and the job description sets out the specific timescales for each intake.

    The interview process is two-stage. The first interview will be conducted by our dedicated paralegal recruitment advisor. It will consist of a competency based interview (lasting approximately 45 minutes) with a short timed test (lasting 30 minutes).

    If you are successful at first interview, the second interview will be conducted the week after your first interview by two lawyers from our Practice Groups and again will be competency based (lasting approximately 30 minutes).

    Ad hoc vacancies

    For our ad hoc roles, you are encouraged to apply quickly in order to ensure you do not miss out, as vacancies can sometimes be for an immediate star, so will often be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is identified.

    Application is by CV. Successful candidates will be invited to the latter stages of the selection process which may include one or more interviews with the team in which the vacancy is available. You may also be required to undertake a practical demonstration of your skills.
